Wedding Feature : Embracing the Perthshire rain
Rainy wedding days don’t have to be a downer — this one at the amazing Murthly Estate in Perthshire proves it. You never know what you’ll get with the weather at a Scottish summer wedding but the best advice I can give is to embrace it and each other just like this pair of legends did.
Those lovely wee rascals, Georgina and Ross have only gone and written a lovely account of their well heavy rainfall wedding day and it’s ace so THANK YOU so much, and to Tie The Knot Scotland for featuring such a fabulous day.
Their wedding day was tipping it down all day (which is surprisingly rare for us, we’ve only shot a handful of days quite this rainy in the 7 years we’ve been working). So we just got super wet and weird and it was so so much fun. We went for a wonder in the rhododendrons (had to google this spelling, obviously) and danced to Harvest Moon. Literally the only wedding couple ever that will stop mid portrait session to have a wee play with some slugs in the grass. It was a total joy to hang out with them and their soggy pals and families.
Murthly Estate has the most beautiful wee chapel on-site and the Humanist ceremony with everyone singing together had me pinching myself to get my act together, it was really a lovely happy thing.
Anyways, they tell it much better than I can so hop over and read the full feature with more images and much love to everyone who made it so lovely.
