Bross Bagels X Elopement Society Wedding
One of the very best things we’ve done with The Elopement Society so far was give away a wedding, with Bross Bagels, last summer.
The folks at Bross ran a support local business campaign during one of the lockdowns and we put together a competition to win a wedding. We had the lovely Fiona Flanagan from Humanist Society of Scotland donate her time to put together and officiate the ceremony, Jenny at Studio Seapink on florals, Caked by Catherine, booze from Lind and Lime, Skylark (RIP beautiful gaff), Good Brothers Wine and some mixers from Bon Accord. I took the photos as well.
Ashley and Kelsey won. Yaldy. What a pair of legends. I’m so glad the prize went to such lovely humans and it felt like such a great thing to be involved in. Super proud to have been a part of their day.
They had the ceremony on Seacliff Beach (one of our favourite spots for elopements!) with close pals and family in between lockdown weirdnesses. We had a Bross Bagels picnic on the beach and nearly got stranded by the tide on the rocks.
Then they headed into town for food, booze and speeches. We danced in the street a little bit cos it was illegal or whatever.
Good times. I set up The Elopement Society cos I want to remind folks that a wedding doesn’t have to be any of the weddingy stuff you think of, it can just be a real and genuine celebration of you as a couple.
We take pleasure in bringing together creative, independent and eco focussed local businesses to make days incredibly special.
